“First meal” at the restaurant Kawabun
"First Rice Ceremony" held to commemorate your child's 100th day of life
We make babies imitate eating with the hope that they won't have trouble eating for the rest of their lives.
“What should I prepare?”
I wonder how it will be done.
At Kawabun, we offer a first meal set.
On the day of the event, the Nakai will thoroughly explain the process.
You can use it without any worries.
You can also take home custom-made 'Uibashi' chopsticks for your first meal.
Please feel free to use it at home as well.
First meal ceremony
At the beginning of the meal
An older person of the same sex brings the food to the child's mouth.
Therefore, someone other than the one responsible for delivering the meals will be required to hold the child.
Then, the food is brought to the child's mouth in the order of sekihan and soup, followed by sea bream, boiled food, vinegared food, and teething stones.
We recommend capturing photos with everyone together before the ceremony; and of course, during the ceremony!
For adults, please choose from the regular Kaiseki menu.
You can enjoy it at your leisure after the ceremony.
Reservations can be made by phone or online.
